First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study compares two surgical techniques for treating painful disc problems in the lower back. About 30 adults who have not improved with other treatments will receive either two straight cages or one banana-shaped cage during lumbar fusion surgery. Researchers will measure pain relief, bone healing, surgery time, blood loss, and complications to see which method works better.
