Summary

This study tests whether leuprolide, a hormone-blocking drug, can slow memory and thinking decline in postmenopausal women with mild Alzheimer's or mild cognitive impairment. Participants also take a standard Alzheimer's medication (donepezil). The trial involves 180 women across three sites and lasts 48 weeks, measuring changes in cognition, daily function, and brain biomarkers.
