First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study explored how malnutrition, diabetes, and worm infections influence the body's response to latent tuberculosis (LTBI) in 626 people aged 14–65 in South India. Participants provided blood, urine, and stool samples, and some had chest X-rays or ultrasounds. The goal was to understand why some people with LTBI develop active TB, but this study did not test any treatment.
