Can kids with eosinophilic esophagitis safely cut their steroid dose?
NCT ID NCT05309590
First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether children with eosinophilic esophagitis (a condition where white blood cells damage the esophagus) can use a lower dose of topical steroids and still stay in remission. About 50 children who are already in remission on full-dose steroids will be switched to half the dose. The goal is to see if the lower dose can keep the disease under control without causing a relapse.
