Cutting four foods may tame Kids' esophagus inflammation
NCT ID NCT05176262
First seen Jun 09, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 09, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether removing four common foods (dairy, wheat, eggs, and soy) from the diet can help children with eosinophilic esophagitis, a condition that causes throat inflammation and trouble swallowing. About 64 kids aged 1 to 18 will follow this diet to see if their symptoms and tissue healing improve. The goal is to control the disease and identify which foods trigger it, not to cure it.
