First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a low dose of clonidine, a medicine usually used for high blood pressure, can reduce PTSD symptoms and improve sleep in military veterans. About 32 veterans with PTSD will take clonidine for 6 weeks while researchers track changes in sleep quality, PTSD severity, and mood. The goal is to see if this safe, affordable drug can be a new option for easing the daily burden of PTSD.
