Summary
This study tested a low-cost way to make platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from a patient's own blood for treating knee osteoarthritis. Twenty adults with mild-to-moderate knee OA received two injections. The main goal was to see if the homemade PRP had as many platelets as expensive commercial kits. Pain and function were also tracked for a year.
