NCT ID NCT07165314

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether sitting cross-legged (Lotus position) helps less experienced doctors insert a breathing tube in emergency situations outside the hospital. 72 novice doctors practiced intubating a mannequin lying on the floor, either in any position they chose or in the Lotus position. The goal was to see if the Lotus position improved success on the first try.
