Implanted pump targets liver tumors with direct chemo

NCT ID NCT03366155

Summary

This study tested a specialized pump implanted in the body to deliver chemotherapy drugs directly into the liver's main artery. The goal was to see if this targeted approach could better control colorectal cancer that had spread to the liver. It involved 24 adult patients who had already received standard chemotherapy. Researchers measured how well the tumors responded to this combined treatment approach.
