First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new, long-acting painkiller (liposomal bupivacaine) combined with a standard painkiller can reduce pain for up to 72 hours after hemorrhoid surgery. About 156 adults aged 18–64 having elective hemorrhoid surgery will take part. The goal is to see if this approach lowers the need for extra pain medication and improves recovery.
