Summary

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Acceptance-Based Behavior Therapy (ABBT)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a short, practical therapy option to reduce anxiety and depression in LGBTQ+ individuals.

What could go wrong

This is a Phase 2 trial with 240 people, so results are still early. The therapy may not prove more effective than usual care, and benefits may not apply to all LGBTQ+ groups.
