Small study tests if laser or simple tissue removal works better for burn scars
NCT ID NCT03692273
First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at 17 adults with burn scars to see if laser treatment or removing a tiny piece of scar tissue (punch biopsy) helps scars look and feel better compared to no treatment. Each person had three small areas on one scar treated differently, and the results were checked with photos, skin measurements, and tissue samples. The goal is to find out which method works best and provide evidence to make laser treatment more available.
