First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 38 times

Summary

This study tests whether a painless laser pen, applied to specific points on the body (acupoints), can improve behavioral and psychological symptoms like agitation or mood changes in people with dementia. About 60 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either real or fake laser acupuncture. The goal is to see if this gentle, non-drug approach can reduce symptom severity and improve daily life.
