First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at a natural chemical called kynurenine in pregnant women with and without chronic kidney disease. Researchers want to see if low levels of this chemical are linked to preeclampsia, a serious condition that can harm mothers and babies. About 204 women will have their kynurenine levels measured at different times during pregnancy and after birth. The goal is to better understand how kidney disease affects pregnancy risks.
