First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at two different ways surgeons align a new knee implant during total knee replacement for people with knee arthritis. The goal was to see which method—mechanical or anatomic alignment—helps the implant stay more stable over the first two years after surgery. Fifty-two adults with knee osteoarthritis took part, and their implant movement was tracked using special X-ray techniques.
