First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at how bone density in the thigh bone changes after knee replacement surgery. Researchers will compare two types of implants—one held in place with bone cement and one without—and two surgical methods (manual vs robotic). About 100 adults aged 55 and older will join, and their bone density will be measured before surgery and again at 12 and 24 months after.
