First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding an oral hyaluronic acid supplement to a standard hyaluronic acid knee injection could better ease pain and improve knee function in people with knee osteoarthritis. 44 participants aged 60-75 took either the oral supplement or a placebo for three months alongside their injection. The main goal was to see if the combination led to greater improvements in pain, stiffness, and daily activities.
