Cancelled before anyone took part.

Expanded access (not trials)

Expanded access
Not a trial. This treatment can be requested outside a study, case by case, for people who qualify.
Expanded access (paused)
Not a trial. The treatment can normally be requested outside a study, but is unavailable right now.
Expanded access (ended)
Not a trial. The treatment could once be requested outside a study, but no longer can.

Summary

People with knee osteoarthritis often report similar pain levels but differ widely in how well they walk, stand from a chair, and manage daily tasks. Researchers at Mardin Artuklu University are studying 120 adults with moderate knee pain to find which clinical factors explain those differences. Participants complete questionnaires on function, central sensitization symptoms, and physical activity, plus walking and chair-stand tests. The study assigns no treatment; it aims to understand functional capacity, not to test a therapy.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If researchers identify which factors track with better function, that could help doctors tailor exercise or pain care for people with knee osteoarthritis.
What could go wrong
This is a single-visit observational study with 120 participants, so it can show links but not prove cause. Findings may not apply to people with milder or more severe knee arthritis.

Who is studied

The study population will consist of adults attending the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation outpatient clinic of Mardin Training and Research Hospital with clinical and radiographic knee osteoarthritis. Only patients with Kellgren-Lawrence grade 2 or 3 disease and similar moderate knee pain severity will be included. No healthy control group will be enrolled.
