First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This pilot study tests a new instrument to help surgeons balance the knee's main ligament (MCL) during total knee replacement. The goal is to see if the tool makes the procedure more consistent and repeatable. About 40 adults with knee osteoarthritis who need a knee replacement will take part. The study focuses on whether the new method is safe and feasible, not on long-term outcomes.
