First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested a new method to hold kidney stones in place during a minimally invasive surgery called mini-PCNL. The goal was to see if this technique makes the stone-breaking step faster and helps remove more stone fragments. 45 adults with kidney stones smaller than 4 cm took part. The results could lead to shorter surgeries and fewer leftover stone pieces.
