First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking ketone or hawthorn supplements for 8 weeks can improve exercise ability and heart function in 45 adults with congestive heart failure. Participants are randomly assigned to one of three groups: ketone, hawthorn, or placebo, and neither they nor their doctors know which they receive. The goal is to see if these supplements help the heart work better during activity.
