Brain tumor diet trial aims to tame uncontrollable weight gain

NCT ID NCT07396896

Summary

This study is testing whether a ketogenic diet (a high-fat, low-carb eating plan) can help control severe weight gain in children and young adults with brain tumors that affect appetite control. The weight gain is often caused by the tumor or its treatment and doesn't respond well to standard diets or exercise. Researchers will follow 30 participants for two years to see if the diet helps them lose weight and improves their metabolic health.
