Summary

This study tests whether a ketogenic diet (high fat, low carb) can improve brain energy and reduce psychiatric symptoms in people recently diagnosed with bipolar I or schizoaffective disorder. Fifty adults aged 18-45 will follow the diet for 12 weeks alongside their usual care. The goal is to see if the diet helps with mood, psychosis, and metabolic health.
