First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a low-carb ketogenic diet to a personalized brain stimulation treatment (iTBS) can better reduce depression symptoms in adults with treatment-resistant depression. Sixty participants will follow either a ketogenic diet or a standard healthy diet for 12 weeks, with brain stimulation given after a 3-week diet lead-in. The goal is to see if the diet makes the brain therapy more effective and is safe and practical to follow.
