First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether a single dose of ketamine given during hemorrhoid surgery can lower pain and reduce the number of opioid pain pills needed afterward. About 100 adults with severe hemorrhoids will take part. Participants are asleep during the procedure and won't know if they received ketamine or not.
