This study translates two standard questionnaires—the Hemorrhoidal Disease Symptom Score and the Short Health Scale for Hemorrhoidal Disease—into Mandarin Chinese and checks whether they are reliable and accurate for Chinese-speaking patients with hemorrhoids. About 115 adults diagnosed with hemorrhoids will fill out the questionnaires during clinic visits, with some repeating them after two weeks to test consistency. The goal is to give doctors and researchers a validated tool to assess symptom severity and quality of life in this population.
