Rural doctors get special training to better care for cancer survivors

This study tested a training program called KanSurvive-ECHO to help rural primary care doctors provide better follow-up care for people who have finished treatment for breast, colorectal, lung, or prostate cancer. Researchers worked with 20 rural clinics to identify gaps in care and then provided special training sessions. They measured whether the training helped doctors better document important follow-up tasks like cancer screenings and patient assessments.
