NCT ID NCT07058883
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests Juläine, an injectable made from polylactic acid, to see if it can safely improve facial acne scars. About 55 adults with moderate to severe scars will receive either Juläine or a placebo (saline) over three sessions. Researchers will track changes in scar appearance and skin health for 12 months.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Juläine (polylactic acid) injectable implant
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a safe, non-surgical option to reduce the appearance of acne scars and improve skin quality.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage trial with only 55 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The placebo group may also show improvement, and long-term effects are unknown.
