Summary

This study tests a radiofrequency device to treat atrophic acne scars—the pitted kind left after acne. About 252 people aged 18 to 65 with facial scars will receive either the active device or a control. Researchers will check scar improvement 12 weeks after treatment using a standard scar scale.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could offer a new, non-invasive option to reduce the appearance of acne scars.
