Can ancient herbs stop colon polyps from coming back?
NCT ID NCT07505056
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a traditional Chinese medicine herbal formula, Jianpi Lishi Jiedu Granules, can prevent colorectal adenomas (precancerous polyps) from returning after they are removed during a colonoscopy. About 376 adults who recently had such polyps removed will take either the herbal granules or a placebo for 3 months. Researchers will check polyp recurrence rates after one year using a follow-up colonoscopy.
