New pill could tame gut inflammation in colitis patients

Summary

This study tests a new drug called ISM5411 in 80 adults with active ulcerative colitis, a condition causing inflammation in the colon. Participants will receive either the drug or a placebo to see if it is safe and helps control symptoms. The goal is to manage the disease, not cure it.
