Summary
This study tests the safety of transplanting donor islet cells into people with difficult-to-control type 1 diabetes. The goal is to see if the cells can help stabilize blood sugar and reduce the need for insulin injections. Participants also receive anti-rejection drugs to protect the transplanted cells. The study involves 50 adults aged 18-58 who have had diabetes for at least 5 years.
