First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether using a continuous integrated pulmonary index (IPI) monitor can reduce the risk of low oxygen levels in older adults (65+) during painless colonoscopy. 153 participants were monitored either with or without the IPI device, which tracks breathing and heart rate. The goal was to see if the monitor helps doctors respond faster to prevent oxygen drops.
