First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special breathing monitor (IPI) can help doctors decide the safest time to remove a breathing tube after surgery. About 632 adults having abdominal surgery will be randomly assigned to either IPI-guided or standard care. The goal is to see if the monitor reduces dangerous drops in oxygen levels.
