Promising combo therapy for brain metastases in lung cancer patients
NCT ID NCT06304441
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a chemotherapy drug (pemetrexed) given directly into the spinal fluid to a standard targeted therapy pill (like osimertinib) works better than the pill alone for lung cancer that has spread to the brain and spine. About 100 adults with a specific gene mutation (EGFR) are being recruited. The goal is to see if the combination improves response and survival while monitoring side effects.
