Air cuffs boost walking in blocked leg arteries?

NCT ID NCT03871075

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether wearing inflatable leg cuffs (intermittent pneumatic compression) for six months can improve walking distance in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Some participants also combine the cuffs with walking exercise. The goal is to see if the cuffs help more than a sham device, and if any benefits last after treatment stops. About 211 adults with PAD are taking part.
