Insulin pump during labor: a safer, less stressful option?

NCT ID NCT07420972

First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether pregnant people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes can safely keep using their insulin pump during labor instead of switching to IV insulin. About 30 participants will use their pump with a hospital safety plan, and their results will be compared to past patients who used IV insulin. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and safe, and to gather information for a larger future study.
