Heart failure drug combo: start both at once or one by one?
NCT ID NCT05989503
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at 62 adults with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) to see if starting two medications—sacubitril/valsartan and an SGLT2 inhibitor—at the same time is as safe as starting one first and adding the other later. The goal was to check for side effects like low blood pressure, kidney problems, or hospital visits over 6 months. The findings help doctors decide the best way to begin these treatments for better heart failure management.
