First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 07, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at the best way to give the water-removing medicine furosemide to people hospitalized with acute heart failure and too much fluid in the body. About 436 adults will be randomly assigned to receive the medicine either as a slow continuous infusion or as several injections throughout the day. The main goal is to see which method removes more fluid, measured by weight loss after about 3 days.
