First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether far-infrared (fIR) light therapy is safe and can ease symptoms in people with Crohn's disease. Forty participants will receive 10 weekly sessions of fIR at different intensities or a sham treatment. Researchers will monitor side effects, symptom scores, and stool markers to see if this device-based approach offers any benefit.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-drug, non-invasive option to help manage Crohn's disease symptoms.
