New trial aims to shield blood cancer patients from deadly infections

Summary
This study tests different ways to prevent serious infections in people with blood cancers like myeloma, lymphoma, and leukemia. About 900 participants will receive either antibiotics or immunoglobulin therapy to see which approach works best. The goal is to reduce severe infections and improve survival without needing lifelong treatment changes.
