Summary
This study tests whether the drug vericiguat can improve how the body uses insulin and burns energy in Black adults with obesity and insulin resistance. Researchers believe boosting a natural signaling pathway may help lower heart and metabolic disease risk. The trial will involve 200 participants over 12 weeks, comparing vericiguat to a placebo.
