Summary

This study tested a training program called Collaborative Decision Skills Training (CDST) to help veterans with serious mental illness, like schizophrenia, work more closely with their doctors in making treatment decisions. The program involved 8 weekly group sessions, and researchers measured how often veterans spoke up and shared their preferences during appointments. The goal was to see if the training could improve veterans' engagement, satisfaction, and recovery.
