First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether watching videos about COVID-19 vaccination experiences and receiving phone support can increase vaccine uptake among Black and Latinx adults with rheumatic diseases. Researchers will enroll 1,170 participants from rheumatology clinics. The goal is to find a practical way to improve vaccination rates in these groups.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could show a practical way to boost COVID-19 vaccination rates in underserved groups with chronic autoimmune conditions.
What could go wrong
This is a behavioral study, not a drug trial. Results depend on participants' willingness to engage, and the approach may not work in other settings or populations.
