First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at two ways to treat bleeding from enlarged veins in the stomach and throat caused by high blood pressure in the liver. It will compare a scope procedure with a minimally invasive X-ray-guided treatment to see which better prevents future bleeding. About 1,066 adults who have had such bleeding will take part. The goal is to find the best approach to improve long-term outcomes.
