First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests a set of guidelines called a 'discharge stewardship bundle' to help doctors prescribe antibiotics more appropriately for children with pneumonia, urinary tract infections, or skin infections when they leave the hospital. Over 1,100 children and their families from four children's hospitals will participate by completing short surveys after discharge. The goal is to reduce unnecessary or incorrect antibiotic use without harming recovery.
