First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new device called an implantable artificial bronchus (IAB) for people with severe emphysema or COPD. The IAB is designed to help air move in and out of the lungs more easily. About 60 adults will receive the implant and be followed for 90 days to see if it improves breathing, exercise ability, and quality of life, while checking for side effects.
