Artificial bronchus implant could be a lifeline for severe emphysema patients

Summary

This study tests a new device called an implantable artificial bronchus (IAB) for people with severe emphysema or COPD. The goal is to see if the device can improve lung function and make breathing easier. About 60 adults who have trouble breathing despite stable treatment will receive the implant and be followed for 90 days.
