Summary
This study tests the Impella 5.5 heart pump in 123 high-risk patients with weak hearts (ejection fraction 25% or less) who need complex cardiac surgery. The pump supports the heart during and after surgery to prevent failure, stroke, and other complications. The goal is to confirm the device's safety and effectiveness in real-world use.
