First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This trial aimed to test whether umbilical cord stem cells, delivered through a catheter into heart arteries, could safely improve heart function in people with severe heart damage after a major heart attack. It was designed for patients with very weak hearts (ejection fraction below 35%) and large scars. However, the study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
