New drug could open door for kidney transplants in Hard-to-Match patients
NCT ID NCT07379957
First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at a drug called imlifidase that temporarily removes harmful antibodies from the blood, allowing highly sensitized kidney patients to receive a transplant from a donor they would otherwise reject. About 450 adults who are unlikely to get a kidney through standard matching will be followed to see how well the transplant works long-term. The goal is to confirm earlier promising results and gather more safety and survival data.
